In this article we will explain how to use the Pattern Matching format for shipping methods.

With Pattern Matching you can apply a rule to multiple methods such as Priority Mail. Priority Mail for USPS has multiple methods such as Priority Mail 1-Day shown in the screenshot below:

In this example CSV file we have only stated the rule to apply to the delivery type of Priority Mail:

So if you want to apply this to such delivery types as Priority Mail 1-Day we must choose the following configuration setting of ‘Use pattern matching for shipping method’

This will then apply the $100 surcharge to the delivery method of Priority Mail 1-Day as shown in the below screenshot.
