Price Based Examples

1. Shipping Override: Free shipping over $50

Scenario:

I would like to offer free ‘UPS Ground’ shipping to the customer when their total cart price is greater than $50. How can I achieve this through using the Shipping Override extension?

Solution:

Shipping override will allow you to amend the shipping price based on weight, price, quantity or destination. For this scenario you will need to filter the shipping price based on price. The screenshot below shows how this scenario would be configured within the CSV file:

When overriding a rate the delivery type name needs to be stated in the CSV exactly the same, as listed by the carrier.

2. Simple Price Based Example

Scenario

How would I configure my price ranges within the Shipping Override extension?

Solution

In Shipping Override you need to configure the prices differently to Premium Matrix. In Shipping Override the price values have to be the same.

An example of this would be Price from: 0 Price to: 2

Price from: 2 Price to: 4

Here is a screenshot of how it should be laid out within a CSV:

3. Add a surcharge to your shipping methods based on price

In this example add an $8.95 surcharge for any order that is below $100 to Ground, 2nd Day Air and 3 Day Select.

4. Do Not Display USPS When Order Value > $100

In this CSV show FedEx and USPS rates, but once the cart total is > $100 then just show Fedex. Note that this is not all of the USPS methods.
