How do I Account for Public Holidays Without Modifying the CSV?

I need to exclude a bank holiday Monday from despatch, production and delivery but my next-day delivery option won’t show on the Tuesday. How do I account for that?

One possibility would be to modify the CSV the week before, as per our example for next-day deliveries for Mondays, changing D=3 to D=4. This will need to be changed back again after the holiday.

In this example 30th March 2015 is being used to represent such a day.

In the CSV file two generic methods for next-day and 2-day and an additional method specifically for the day after a bank holiday Monday have been defined.

In Catalog > WebShopApps Delivery Date Shipping create a default weekly rule by leaving the “Week Commencing” field blank and select all methods except for the new method.

An additional weekly rule for the “Week Commencing” 30th March will need to be defined with the “Bank Holiday” method selected for the Tuesday.

This will then allow Friday to be used as the dispatch date and the Tuesday will be the delivery date. The Tuesday after will show “Next Day” as normal.
