I would like to specify that the large box is packed first when a certain product is entered into the cart and the quantities fields for all boxes are the same. How can I achieve this through using the Dimensional Shipping extension?

Solution

The solution to this issue is to configure which order the shipping boxes are listed under the configuration panel Catalog>Manage Products>”Desired Product”>Individual Shipping Boxes. The following screenshot show that the Large box is stated first and so when this product is entered into the cart, the large box will be packed:

The following screenshot shows the initial configuration panel to set the dimensions of the desired boxes you would like to use when shipping items. This configuration panel can be located under Catalog>Manage Boxes:

This screenshot shows that when the quantity is 1 for the specific product then the shipping box used is the Large Box. To view this information you will need to turn on the WebShopApps logging and view the log titled ‘Packages Sent To Carrier':
