1. Restrict Methods for ZIP Codes
Here is the rule to implement:
- Restrict Express Delivery to the zip code 90034
- Show Standard Delivery for zip code 90034
Utilising the “Best Match” destination filtering functionality of Product Matrix the first two rows will not be applicable to 90034 so only the “Standard” method will be displayed.
In this scenario all US postcodes with the exception of 90034 will use Standard and Express delivery from this CSV file.
2. Prevent Shipping for Specific Postcodes
In this example CSV no methods should be available for Northern Ireland (BT) postcodes.
This example uses UK Postcode Filtering.
Utilising the “Best Match” destination filtering functionality of Product Matrix the first two rows will not be applicable to N. Ireland so only the bottom row will be used. As that rule excludes “Express” no methods will be displayed.
To display methods for BT postcodes additional rules will need to be added.
3. Highlands and Island Postcodes
Parcelforce has a detailed list of UK postcode zones in a PDF file on their site.
4. Different Rates to Specific Postcodes
In this example different rates are required for different postcodes – Jersey and Guernsey in the UK should receive only the “Standard” shipping method, whereas the rest of the UK should receive “First Class” and “Express”.
This example also uses the “Best Match” destination filtering functionality and UK postcode matching option so only the bottom row will match for Jersey and Guernsey postcodes.
5. UK Postcode Ranges
As noted in the postcode filtering article the extension does not support hyphenated ranges with UK postcodes – these must be defined comma-separated. However, as above, “BT” will cover all postcodes starting with “BT” (BT1, BT2… etc to, effectively, BT99).
In this example the postcode range AB10-AB16 should receive a different rate to all other UK postcodes. This example also uses the “Best Match” destination filtering functionality and UK postcode matching option.
